Fort Lauderdale is one of Florida’s largest cities and only about a 40 minute drive from Miami. Mostly known for its sandy beaches, vibrant downtown, and vast network of boating canals, the Fort Lauderdale lifestyle is all about getting outside and enjoying the 300+ days of sunshine this part of the country enjoys each and every year.

Because of the climate and all that Fort Lauderdale has to offer, walkability is something many Fort Lauderdale condo buyers specifically want in a new place to call home. And luckily for those particular buyers, there’s also no shortage of desirable options when it comes to walkable condo buildings right in the heart of town.

Las Olas River House

Nestled on the banks of the historic New River, Las Olas River House is one of Fort Lauderdale’s grandest condo towers. Built in 2004, this 42-story, 287-unit building sits just a block away from lively Las Olas Boulevard, putting residents just steps from shopping, dining, museums, art galleries and more. It also features world class amenities, including a 60,000 square foot pool with with a heated infinity pool.

Las Olas Grand

Not far from Las Olas River House is Las Olas Grand—a 39-story, 213-unit building that also offers a premium riverfront location in the heart of Downtown Fort Lauderdale. When it comes down to it, both the Las Olas River House and Las Olas Grand are pretty similar in a number of ways and both are worth strong consideration if a walkable location is high up on your wish list. And if you’re working with a bit tighter of a budget, however, Las Olas Grand might just be the better fit.

Venezia Las Olas

Situated just one block from the Las Olas entertainment district, Venezia Las Olas definitely checks off the walkable box. But standing just 16 stories high and housing only 49 condo residences, it also offers more of an intimate setting, which can also be desirable for buyers who prefer something a little more low-key. Venezia Las Olas is also pet-friendly and includes garage parking, extras storage space, and a 5th-floor amenity level with a heated swimming pool and terrace, fitness center, and clubroom with a full kitchen.

Four Seasons Fort Lauderdale

There’s no doubt Fort Lauderdale’s waterfront is as lively and energetic as it gets and if you’re someone who prefer to be in the middle of all the action and also close to the beach, there’s no better living experience than what the spectacular Four Seasons Fort Lauderdale has to offer. Quite simply, it’s among the city’s most lavish and luxurious condo buildings while also being steps from beachfront bars, restaurants, and cafes.

Paramount Residences

Just up the street from the Four Seasons Fort Lauderdale is the Paramount Residences, an equally desirable beachfront condo building that’s close to all the hot spots on and around Fort Lauderdale Beach Boulevard. If you’re not quite as familiar with this one, it might be because it was only just built in 2018, making it the perfect option for anyone seeking newer construction along with walkability.
